Little Horseshoe Farm
Meet the Herd

Founded 2004

My name is Skye Dancer and this is my story.  I am a filly (girl).  I
was rescued (my fate did not look too good) from the  auction along
with my mother
Silver Belle.   Not long after we came to our new
home it was discovered that my mother was pregnant.
Everyone thought she would have the baby before Christmas, but
my mother knew better.  She had the baby March 6, 2007.
Welcome to the world baby sister,
Tango !!!
Lookin' good Tango at a few hour's old!!

Meet "Handsome" Rescued 6-11-2009.
6 year old Modern Shetland, quite a bit under
weight. Now that his teeth problems have been
corrected and he has been tube wormed by the
vet he is working on gaining weight and
trust/handling issues with people.
......Follow his progress.......Photos coming soon....

are born until the day they
die.....They are changed only by the
way people treat them"

SilverBelle
The morning of July 22, 2009 Silver was down with colic symptoms, She was rushed to the vet....She spent the day at the vet
undergoing treatment, but by 11 pm it was obvious she wouldn't live without surgery.  She was transported at that time to a vet
equipped for emergency surgery by 3am July 23, 2009 she was under going surgery to remove 3 feet of damaged intestine
that had been pinched by a ligament...this is an unusual case...
Thanks to everyone at both vet clinics for caring for Silver
and a special thanks to our sponsor
Elliott Services A/C & Heat for covering her costly vet bill!!
Why save this mare? She was originally saved from slaughter 3 years ago at the auction when the meat buyer
was outbid by $25.  With her came her two daughters Dancer (at her side) and Tango (pregnant with).
So, 3 lives were saved that day
~~~Maybe God has a special plan for this girl~~~
Currently SilverBelle is recovering under veterinary care....Tango and Skye Dancer are waiting at the gate for her return!
